COVID-19 Relief

Update: As of Friday evening (3/27) we have given out the entire $15,000 we’ve raised to 155 Burlington residents and are closing the fund to new applications for the weekend (3/28 -3/29) while we seek out donations to keep it going.

As we all work through the new realities of business closures and quarantines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ONE Good Deed Fund is here to help our Burlington community.  During this time, we have created a special fund to support Burlington residents who have lost work due to COVID-19 related closures. This includes employees of businesses and nonprofits while waiting for unemployment benefits, artists, musicians and other performers who have had shows and workshops cancelled, and gig workers (babysitters, pet walkers, drivers, tutors, etc) who have reduced income due to social distancing and quarantines. If you have found yourself out of work because COVID-19 has impacted your livelihood, we want to help.

If you need assistance we can offer up to $100 in gift cards and direct payments to utilities, landlords, mortgage holders, and other businesses. Because of the way we are incorporated with the IRS we cannot give cash directly to individuals, but we can distribute funds to you as gift cards or pay bills on your behalf.
