Apply for Funding

Thanks for your interest in applying for funding from the ONE Good Deed Fund. We offer two different grants – Good Deed Grants and Neighborhood Project Grants:

Good Deed Grants:
These grants provide funding up to $100 for individuals who would like to do a good deed for another individual who lives in the Old North End and needs help covering the cost of services or supplies.  Please note before starting:

  • all recipients (that’s the person who will be the recipient of the good deed, not the person applying for funding) must live in Burlington, VT’s Old North End neighborhood defined as the area between Pearl Street as the southern border, North Willard Street as the eastern border, Manhattan Drive as the northern border, and North Avenue as the western border; (view a google map of Burlington, VT)
  • recipients of good deeds should be individuals, and not programs or organizations;
  • priority is given to good deeds done for someone within a neighborhood that form or strengthen connections;
  • the applicant can not be the same person as the recipient of the good deed;
  • all good deeds must be completed within a year of notification of funding;
  • the maximum grant amount is $100;
  • funding will not be issued directly to the applicant – it will be issued to the vendor(s) who are selling the items or services needed to complete the good deed.
