The ONE Good Deed Fund, a community fund in Burlington’s Old North End neighborhood, has announced its first grant round open to individuals who would like to do a good deed for someone who resides in the Old North End. The grants fund the costs of materials and services needed to complete a good deed up to $100. Applications are due by August 15th and are available on the fund’s website at http://www.ONEGoodDeedFund.org.
The ONE Good Deed Fund was founded on the belief that acts of kindness toward others are what build community. The fund is here to help cover the cost of those acts. Often someone is inspired to help others and yet doesn’t have the resources to make it happen, and the fund seeks to break down that barrier by offering financial support for goods and services needed to make those good deeds a reality. Giving is focused on projects in Burlington’s Old North End neighborhood, with the goal of eventually expanding to include the rest of the city and other parts of the state.
